Once filed, your trademark application will undergo an official registrability assessment. During the registrability assessment, the Examiner will assess whether your trademark would be registrable under the Trade Marks Act, including assessing whether your trademark is capable is distinguishing (i.e. is not too descriptive) and whether your trademark conflicts with any existing trademarks. If the Examiner finds any problems with your application, we will discuss these problems with the Examiner to attempt to overcome them.
